Music Camps @ FSU is providing a unique one-day beginning workshop on Trumpet and Percussion

• Students will have an opportunity to start trumpet and percussion receiving individual/group instruction covering an introduction to the instrument, hands on playing, and a brief demonstration.
• Students are accepted on first come basis (limit of 10 per session per instrument). All participants must between 4th and 6th grade level. Early registration is recommended before May 4, 2012.
• The workshop runs from May 12, 2012 with two sessions on the campus of Fayetteville State University. The sessions for each will be held in the Rosenthal Building and run from 9 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 4 pm.
• The daily schedule will include introduction classes, brief performances, and hands-on participation. Materials will be provided for the workshop (use of trumpet, sticks, mallets etc… for each session) as well as a short break.
• During the final ½ hour of each session, all students will demonstrate what they have learned in their brief session, which will be open to the public to attend.

The following are the four music camps with instructor and additional requirements beyond one year of experience:
